About

Calmly Noted is a space for the chaotic, the overwhelmed, the frustrated, and the anything-but-calm.
Hi — that’s me. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place. Welcome.

I found bullet journaling in grad school, back when I was a lifelong paper-planner devotee constantly searching for the perfect system. Every academic year started with optimism… and ended with a planner that no longer fit my life. My needs changed. The chaos didn’t. So I did the only thing that made sense at the time: I made my own.

I bought a Moleskine and started sketching layouts that worked for me. Not long after, that little black notebook caught the attention of a colleague. He pointed to his own journal and asked, “Do you bullet journal?” I didn’t — at least not officially. But that moment changed everything.

What began as a daily planner slowly evolved into a flexible journaling system I could adapt whenever life shifted. A place to untangle thoughts, make sense of the noise, and meet chaos with intention. And on the other side of chaos, I found calm.

Ten years later, bullet journaling is still where I turn when life feels loud. When my thoughts start spinning, I write them down. When things change, my journal changes with me. And with every note, list, and reflection, I create a little more space to breathe.

Calmly Noted is inspired by that journey. Here you’ll find blog posts, reflections, and digital bullet journal designs created to help you build a journaling practice that actually fits your life — whether you’re just journaling-curious or a longtime notebook lover.

My hope is simple: that something you find here helps you slow down, sort through the chaos, and find your own version of calm.
